Less Hustle, More Painting: A Little Life Update

Ah.........the life of being an artist.

 As I had said before I'm working on a goal of 3 illustrations a day. It's been challenging and I've had to settle for maybe 1 illustration and 2 doodles, or a doodle and 2 illustrations...lol. Along with this goal - I've re-evaluated more of my work and decided to pour myself into my illustrations and building up my portfolio. I really miss the process of painting for joy it feels so good to have a clear focus and really pour my energy into creating work that means something to me.

The business part of being an artist had sucked the life out of me for a bit and I realized I was spending more and more time away from the brushes than I'd liked. Part of this has meant honing down how I spend my time and letting go of a few things that weren’t working for me. I’ve had to put my TikTok lives on hold and pause projects like stickers, bookmarks and postcards for now. I still love making them, but right now, illustrations are where my heart (and focus) truly are!
