Not Your Classic Witch

Not Your Classic Witch

Hattie is not your average witch. She clearly has a past and might be technically dead. Or maybe undead. Or maybe just “selectively living.” I haven’t asked—she doesn’t seem like the type to enjoy nosy questions.

What I do know is that she’s thriving. Cozy sweaters, boots built for tromping through haunted gardens, a bat sidekick named Gunk (jury’s still out on whether he’s cursed or just dramatic). Maybe?

She’s out here absolutely living her best undead life, and honestly? I respect it. Since that first drawing, she’s been pulling me deeper into her world—and it’s a weird one. There are haunted tea shops. Skeleton landlords. A town that might only exist when the moon’s just right. Why her cat left (still a sore subject).

I'm still asking myself questions - on this trip where did she go? Did she visit her cousins? Did she fall in love? Did she regret not buying that spider web purse - which may or may not have been cursed?

So this is just the beginning. I’ll be sharing more about Hattie here as I paint, sketch, and dream her into more corners of my work.

Thanks for meeting her. I think she’s glad you’re here. Follow me on the socials to see her  living her best undead life.
